Dead Simple Way to Build A Life You Don't Regret (And Live Happy)

If today was your last day, would you have any regrets?

Time is your most precious commodity. Not only are you slowly losing what you have left of this resource, but you also know that how you spend it will write the story of your life. I'll show you a way to leave the regrets behind.

Unfortunately, far too many people don't even consider this in their life.

How you spend your time is how you'll grade your life.

  • Did you make enough time for relationships?

  • Did you enjoy enough of your time outside your work?

  • Did you avoid the noise, distractions, and all the trivial & wasteful parts of life?

  • Did you waste time, energy, and skills pursuing things outside your true purpose?

It starts with determining the proper road map.

Here's how, step by step:

Step 1: Make 2 life-changing lists.

If you simplify your life to a list of things on paper, would you be pleased?

List 1: Things you never regret.

Examples: long walks, date nights with your spouse, playing with your children, time spent with friends, exercise, and working on something in pursuit of your purpose.

List 2: Things you often regret.

Examples: Scrolling your phone, wasting time talking about current events, watching bad movies, reading bad books, pointless meetings, and overcommitments.

Be brutally honest with yourself.

Step 2: Schedule these things in your life.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life."

— Steve Jobs

It's no secret we make time for the things that truly matter. Sure, 'life happens' as they say and we go through seasons.

But what matters most in our life will work its way to the forefront of our daily and weekly routines.

So if you feel like your routine doesn't reflect your non-regretful list, make the appropriate adjustments to your life.

Step 3: Spend time wisely with this simple formula.

Time on things you don't regret > Time on things you often regret

How we spend our time in life is critical to the quality of our life. Yet, it's not always easy to maneuver: responsibilities, obstacles, life interruptions, work, errands, etc.

So when life happens, here's a simple formula to help you get back on track.
