At the end of 2018, I was burnt out from working in the addiction field.
I asked my boss to let me halve my hours so I could pursue other things. He was so supportive and confessed that he didn't see me fitting into the field long-term anyway. In fact, he told me I'd been holding myself back!
Wrong.
Guess what I did first? I slept for a few months. I was so burnt out my body didn't need me to spend time doing different things.
My body wanted me to do fewer things and rest.
And this is OK.
Just don't have realistic expectations. You can't buy or cheat your way to being rested. Sorry.
