Most people think they have to know it all and have it all planned out before they start creating content.

Our culture (here in the U.S.) leans toward perfection and worship of famous figures who've made a lot of money. We see these people—like Tom Brady or Elon Musk—as examples of success who "make it look easy" when it's anything but that!

Not everyone is an overnight success!

  • Kurt Warner bagged groceries before he became a football star.

  • Justin Welsh was burned out before he found success with LinkedIn.

You Need To Know There's No Such Thing As Overnight Success!

Most of us never show our "struggle side" or how much work it took to get us where we are.

I've always been a late bloomer. When other kids in high school had colleges lined up, I had no plans. It's taken me six years to gain traction as a content creator.

It all started simply because I wanted to market my coaching website and couldn't afford ads. So I learned how to do content marketing.

Shift Away From a Fast/Easy Mindset

Don't expect to pay this month's bills with your side hustle.

Just be happy with whatever comes through—whomever you meet, if anyone buys at all, or even just makes contact with you! Build a strong foundation first.

Every "Overnight Success" Has Been Working For A While

Don't compare yourself to the Tom Brady of content marketing or the Elon Musk of YouTube.

We all start out as Kurt Warner bagging the groceries—but not giving up on our dreams. Before I was able to become a freelance remote worker, I suffered for my art.

I literally rode the bus at one point. I never thought I'd get to where I am now!
