My side-hustle doesn't make any money. In fact, it costs me money. And that's okay.

My side-hustle doesn't make any money. In fact, it costs me money. And that's okay.

What is my side-hustle?

Well, its not really a side-hustle at all. Its more like my main-hustle and my 9-5 job is my side-hustle to make the main-hustle possible.

So the better question is: What is my main-hustle?

My main-hustle

  • ๐Ÿ’ Nurturing the relationship I have with my wife.

  • ๐Ÿ‘ฆ๐Ÿผ ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿผ Raising the two gremlins which we call kids.

  • ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Creating a family culture of love, respect, and fun.

Focus on fulfillment

Recently I've been exploring all the ways I can diversify my revenue stream to (1) pursue personal interests and (2) provide more security for my family.

But this past weekend I tuned out the world and turned inward. What was my inner-self saying which I was crowding out by too much activity and noise?

Well...that there is a time and season for everything. And my greatest fulfillment at this time will come from investing more in my main-hustle. And my 9-5 job, which I do enjoy.

I could go on...

There is so much I could talk about on this topic...but I'll stop here. Happy to chat more about it. It feels somewhat counter-culture to the anti-9-5 jobs and the constant conversations about side-hustles.

To each his own, and let's celebrate that diversity!

(disclaimer: I'm not saying everyone with a family shares this view, this is just my recent experience)
