Feeling overwhelmed is part of the journey. Only those who do nothing, who undertake nothing, are safe from that feeling. It's time to prove to yourself what you're made of. You can bask in the failure of the first fall.

Success is nothing more than getting up every time you fall.

5 simple things to do to reset your system whenever you fall

1️⃣ Reflect on the situation that brought you here

You can beat yourself up mercilessly. As absurd as it may sound, it can be as exhilarating as it is useless. Sometimes you simply find yourself in the situation that your recent successes have brought you to. Accumulating successes, without pause, helplessly, is not sustainable in the long run.

That will invariably be an amazing learning experience for future occasions.

2️⃣ Prioritize what makes sense

Choose the projects that are worth focusing your efforts on. Choose several of them that are not overly complicated to finish. Doing so will give you a boost of motivation.

And that will give you the willingness to keep going.

3️⃣ Incubate, incubate, incubate...

Start a Someday/Maybe list if you didn't have one until now. It's the perfect place to park those things that are still important, but you just can't face right now. You will do it later... or maybe not.

But feeling like nothing important is lost is priceless.

4️⃣ Dare to declare bankruptcy on part of your system

Archive tasks, notes or projects that no longer make sense to you. Or delete them outright. Don't beat yourself up about it.

We all deserve a fresh start.

5️⃣ Re-start simply where you are

Don't waste time ruminating on what wasn't. That past will not return. Focus on where you are now.

And what you can build on from this moment.
