The requirements for success as a Leader are high.
You have to be ready to make plans, scrap them, and come up with all new plans.
Teams need to be coordinated in many different ways, sometimes less optimally than we would like.
There are stresses that will occur in our own lives, our team's lives, and even our clients' lives.
All of these activities require strong stores of Mg-ATP in our bodies.
What is Mg-ATP?
If you love biology and physiology, you'll know a bit about this.
If not, don't worry, I'll explain more now!
Our body has ONE primary source of fuel that is generated at the cellular level.
This is commonly referred to as ATP - Adenosine Triphosphate.
This is what fuels ALL of the activity that our body uses.
What is less known though is that there is a specific mineral required to make ATP usable by the body.
This is Mg - Magnesium.
Without Bioavailable Magnesium, ATP is useless.
What is important for leaders is that the less Mg-ATP that is available, the less able a leader will be to accomplish their goals.
Whether it is:
Meetings with teams
Planning Projects
Solving Client Challenges
Etc.
Everything that a Leader works to accomplish requires Mg-ATP.
What Impacts Mg-ATP?
There are many things that impact our Mg-ATP stores.
As a Leader who wants to achieve Legendary goals, it is important to understand what these factors are.
Knowing these can be the difference between being able to reach goals or not during crunch time.
Here are a few of the factors that impact Mg-ATP:
High Stress Levels (Decreases Mg Stores)
Working Too Long (Increases Stress, Exponentially Decreases Mg and increases Mg-ATP use over time)
Too Much Iron in Tissue (This even happens in people with Anemia, decreases Mg)
Not Enough Bioavailable Copper (Copper allows Iron to be properly used, and prevents Iron from decreasing Mg stores)
Eating anything made with Vegetable Oils (Weakens Cells' ATP production)
Eating Processed Foods (Weakens ATP production, and causes stress decreasing Mg)
Mouth Breathing/Breathing into the Chest (Puts the body into Stress State, prevents Oxygen/CO2 transfer, prevents digestion to get ATP, and decreases Mg)
Leaving Problems without a Resolution Plan (Psychology wants closure, Mg-ATP will be eaten inefficiently by unsolved problems)
Lack of Sleep (Body doesn't properly cleanse itself, which leads to Mg-ATP being used and created inefficiently, and causes stress decreasing Mg)
There are more factors, but this is a good list of places to get started!
