The Reasons Parents Should Say Yes More Often to Raise Successful Adults

Many believe that parents who say yes to their children more than no are raising spoiled kids who will grow up into entitled adults.

Childhood discipline is always a debate. "Spare the rod, spoil the child," and whether to spank a child remains a parent's dilemma.

Why saying "Yes" may be the best thing you do.

A parent should say "yes" to their child unless there is a legitimate reason to say no.

  • Strengthens the parent-child bond by not saying no. The child assumes responsibility for their choice, and the parent acts in a supportive role.

  • Empowers the child to decide and learn the consequences in a safe environment.

  • Encourages the child to explore the world around them with minimal restriction, learning to navigate difficult obstacles, tap into their creativity, and explore how things work.

As a parent, saying "yes" to my children was the best decision I ever made.

When I first heard "Always say yes unless there is a good reason to say no," I felt like a weight lifted.

Children are naturally curious creatures, eager to learn new things,

When they follow their curiosity and test their surroundings, they find their strengths and discover who they are.

Being a parent means lifting the boundaries from our children's lives.

The world will try to put limits on your kids. It is up to you to be the one who helps them discover just how much they offer and what amazing things they can accomplish.

Be the "yes" parent.
