I have been an entrepreneur helping other entrepreneurs grow for 7+ years.
Along the way, I have done all sorts of things to try to get better:
I've read 300+ business books
I've worked with 100s of clients
I've spent $100k+ on courses and coaching
And all of these things helped me a ton.
But if I had to start all over again (as a beginner), this is the simple framework I wish I had for building an effective, profitable service-based business.
Step 1: Interview 50+ Potential Clients
Have an idea of whom you want to help and how you want to help them. Then interview 50+ people who fit that avatar and have that problem. Learn everything you can about the problem, how they're trying to solve it today, and how much it's costing them.
Step 2: Test Your Solution
Work with a dozen clients to solve their problems, testing to learn what works, scrapping what doesn't. You'll quickly know where you can add value quickly and effectively. And where you'll just waste time and energy.
Step 3: Create a Productized Offer
Craft a simple, repeatable offer to solve their problem. Sell it over and over again to nail the process and improve the results. Systematize and optimize over time.
When you're first starting out, this is all that matters.
