Creating Aspirations Will Help Avoid Panic Attacks About Your Future
Camryn Kettinger

If you over-fixate on your future and can seem to just live in the present, keep reading.

Something I have learned and most definitely can confidently say about myself is that I will plan and illustrate a future and never make plans on how that future can one day even come true. I notice most of the time I just get overwhelmed and breakdown. Eventually, time passes by and I’m in the same spot as where I started.

It did take me nearly 2 years to understand or come up with this idea, but creating aspirations. If you’re like me then you’ll say “but I have so many dreams and goals, where do I even start.” This overwhelming feeling is perfectly okay. With this tactic of forming aspirations, you will take control.

This is how I followed with the Create Aspirations tactic:

I’m a very visual person so started to categorize and personalize Pinterest boards. I started to pin point common illustrations and words that I noticed I was pinning constantly. Doing this allowed me to bring to life ideas and creations that i solely kept in my head and never actually let out.

A few of my aspirations are:

  • Go to college to study architecture/ interior design

  • Claim the sailboat of my dreams

  • Earn my pilots license

  • Build a home on the coast of California

  • Make a difference when I travel to new countries

As these are long term goals, I have things to look forward to and reach towards. Things to keep me moving and dedicated.
