Essay #4: Realizing How to Pick Classes That Correlate To Your Schedule
Cecilia Valdes-Brito

As a highschool student transitioning into the college lifestyle, I would have never thought that picking classes could be so difficult at times. Normally in high school my counselors would help me to pick out classes if I was not sure, but most of them had originally been required from the start to take them. Also another factor that goes into picking classes in college that seems to be very different than in highschool is the choice to pick certain teachers or professors.

I know this can seem like something very stupid, but picking the right professorcan be very vital in your college career. Majority of my professors have been perfect so far, so I don't really have anything to complain about, but sometimes you do not really end up with the right teacher that can help you at times. If you end up with a teacher that does not suit you well, then that can affect your well being and even your grades in that specific class. Just remember to always try and pick a professor that suits you the most with everything.

This can include your schedule, class work, and even the teaching method used by your professor. Sometimes certain teaching methods do not stick well with other students like some do. I personally prefer being in person with your teacher so that you can interact more and even ask questions to see if you do get something wrong or even right. Always as a student you should be on top of your classes and should already know which ones to pick for yourself
