3 Things I Learned Writing Online Every Day For 30 Days In A Row
By Corey Box

It’s been 30 days since I signed up for Dickie Bush & Nicolas Cole's cohort-based course, Ship 30 for 30.

In that time, I wrote & published 30 Atomic Essays, learned the fundamentals of Digital Writing, made friends, and started gaining clarity over what my niche might be.

It has been a very rewarding (and challenging) journey, and I am more excited than ever to keep writing online.

Here are the 3 biggest things writing & publishing consistently for 30 days taught me:

1. Make It Easy

I learned to make writing easier by starting with a template.

Instead of staring at a blank page, (and a bitch of a blinking cursor, reminding you that everybody has taken the day off in the brain department.) Do yourself a favour, Start with a Template.

Why? It’s less intimidating, there’s already a proven framework on the page, now it’s less work for you to go and make adjustments.

2. Schedule Your Writing

Block-off a specific time on your calendar for writing. (And show up to the meeting daily)

Schedule using google calendar, Apple, Reminders, Alarms, Physical Planner, a Pet Rooster. (For you country folk) pick something and lock it in.

This will work as a reminder/mental trigger to write.

3. Make It Fun

It will be a lot harder to stick to a daily writing habit if you hate it.

Make it fun by writing about your interest, sharing stories, connecting with other people, making friends, making money, having accountability partners, writing with no pants (or whatever you think is fun)

If you enjoy writing every day, you’ll do it more.
