Everyone tells you that you have to leave your job to level up.

That the grass is greener somewhere else.

Nobody is telling you how to water the grass you have now.

Here’s how to do just that:

1. Change your perspective

The grass is always greener where you sow and water it.

2. Take ownership and initiate

If you haven’t done anything to improve your situation then the onus is on you.

3. Trust the process

Once you take immediate ownership and decide to initiate, then you have to act quickly.

You also have to be patient with the long-term results. Change doesn’t happen overnight.

4. Persevere

Want to waste the present? Give up.

Want to make the most of it? Persevere and build character.

It will help follow you to your next role and boss.

5. Show up every day

Your actions and behaviors are the water you pour onto the seeds you sowed.

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

But change starts with you.
