Many people who watch me spend loads of money on trucks, cars, etc. think I'm crazy, but there's actually a more sentimental reasoning behind it.

My Roots

Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my grandfather on my mothers side since my parents have always worked a lot. He has always been into cars, especially the old ones he used to drive around in during his childhood. He has a photo album of most of the cars he's owned, and it is WAY in the double digits to say the least. Working on cars was always a hobby for him, and after he got drafted to serve in Vietnam, he had to give up the hobby for a while. After he got back, he decided to work on cars full time, and start building them from the ground up for people. He has been doing this since then up until now. He's always talked about retiring from it, but he loves it so much he can't give it up. I would always help him in the shop with cars, and he taught me a lot growing up. It's safe to say he passed his love for building and modifying vehicles to me.

Now

I love building my own vehicles now, I like to think I'm taking after my grandfather, as I look up to him a lot. It brings me happiness when I buy things for vehicles, work on it, and get to see it looking better than it did before. I found the same enjoyment while working at the body shop last year, just seeing things all wrecked up, getting to fix it up and make it look like new just gave me a different type of satisfaction nothing else could match.
