Cutting People Off May Relieve Some Of Your Depression
Mariafernanda Martinez🧢

Have you ever hung around some of your friends and felt drained after? Or maybe you consistently feel bad and sad whenever you hang out with certain friends. Well, this may be because your friends are not very nice. Often our friends determine who we are or significantly affect our personality and life. When I was depressed, the reason wasn't because of my friends; it was about a whole bunch of stuff, but I did feel a lot worse after hanging around certain people. This was because the people I was hanging out with didn't have the best intentions. One day I decided to sit down and analyze the people around me. I wanted to see who had pure intentions for me. I named a good number of people, but I decided that with the rest, I would cut them off for my well-being. This was one of the best things I could have ever done. Immediately I felt better. I was not feeling bad about myself and was happy with the people around me. I got happier. It turns out that the people were draining my energy and making me feel a lot worse. I knew that when I passed through my depression, I would be thankful for cutting off those people because now I would be surrounded by good people that want the best for me. So, I would advise anyone remotely thinking about cutting someone off to do it. If you have to second guess the friendship, maybe that person is not that great for you
