If I wouldn't live here I wouldn't be able to dream as big as I currently am.

For me a lot of the gratitude that I have learned comes from being in this country. There are so many possibilities , so many things you can do and experience that it truly feels like a dream. Many might not realize how lucky they are to live here , but coming from a third world country , I see it very clearly.

I have had the opportunity to travel around the world and that comes from the possibility of being able to work here and save money. My biggest form of freedom is my car , something I would have never had in Cuba. I have accomplished so many things such as getting my first license , learning to drive, learning Portuguese, visiting new places, graduating high school and now being able to attend college. None of this would have been possible if I did not live here.

I get to get in my car and go wherever I want without struggling. I have a home and a family to arrive to and a school to attend. I never have to worry about what I will eat or where I have to stay. My intent is not to gloat but to share how grateful I am to have the things and opportunities I know I would have never accomplished without being in this country. I am mostly grateful to attend college for an associates in arts that will contribute to my career as a pilot... that by far has been my biggest accomplishment , to fly a plane and now I am ready for my next one.
