The Importance of Your Diet in Your Fitness Journey as a College Student

Food is how your body fuels itself to make it throughout the day. This being said, the saying you are what you eat proves to be very accurate.

Your diet makes a huge difference in how you feel daily, so eating properly will better your life in more ways than one. You don't have to eat a super clean diet to start feeling better but eating things in the right amount will go a long way.

Eating a good amount of protein is important to build muscle, but so is getting in your carbs for energy and fats for other things like boosting testosterone.

A general rule is called the 80/20 rule, which means eating 80% clean or homemade food and 20% junk food. This rule is to make it easier on you to start eating better.

Eating right isn't a diet that means it is sustainable, and the problem with most diets is that they are not sustainable for a long time, and when you stop the diet, you lose most or all of the progress you made.

Eating in a way you are comfortable with, can sustain, and enjoy is the key to nailing your diet for your fitness journey and the rest of your life. With that, you would eliminate one major concern of most trainees, beginner and even advanced.

The most important aspect of your fitness journey, especially your diet, is to make it enjoyable. If you do that, you will not only have a better time as you progress you will also find it much easier to progress as you turn something most think is stressful into something fun that you enjoy.
