You Need to Realize Not Everything on Social Media is Real as a College Student
Ryan Hidalgo

As college students, we tend to spend a lot of time on social media, and because of this, our view of reality can be significantly altered, and as a result, our expectations increase.

Many things on social media can be confirmed. Still, many can also easily be fake, as social media's main priority is to be a source of entertainment, and the natural world tends not to be as entertaining as it could be with a few edits.

When it comes to the fitness world, there are many incredible feats of strength and aesthetics, but it has become increasingly hard to tell what is real and what is fake.

Many people new to the fitness world have grown to, unfortunately, think that their progress is nothing compared to some of the influencers on Instagram or TikTok, but what they fail to realize is not only do these influencers have years of experience under their belts, but they also tend to change things to look more impressive than they are.

Many people lifting crazy weights can easily be using fake weights, steroids, or even have been training for years. Realizing this and remembering to focus on your progress will help you not get demotivated in your fitness journey.

Instead then looking at the accomplishments of others and feeling bad that you will never get there, turn it around, and tell yourself that if others have done it, you can too.

The human body can do amazing things if pushed hard enough and trained. While others might be more gifted, any amount of hard work can still show you excellent results.
