Confession: I don't get storytelling. 

I think in frameworks and I write in insights. I'd happily vote for a law that required all books to be published in bulleted format. Forget about emotion, focus on the context.

Probably some Rich Dad Poor Dad baggage I should talk to my therapist about.

So far you've gotten a confession, my lazy excuse, and a Robert Kiyosaki reference. Whenever I try adding plot to my writing, it just seems so...obvious. Why are humans hardwired for stories?

We use story precisely because it's obvious. It creates the feeling to inspire the action to achieve the outcome that is now within reach. Cause of the story.
