Consulting services are a long shot for innovation. These days I'm reflecting on how change works inside people dynamics, and I think innovation rarely happens if the following elements don't exist inside an organization:

1) You don't need only a high profile inside the organization advocating for change; you need someone in the middle levels who understands more about the job's intricacies, rooting for you.

2) Inside champions must be equipped with stories, examples, images, ideas, and arguments to promote innovation horizontally and organically. Telling the story of gains and pain relief over and over gives them security, assimilation, and new ideas to adopt.

3) If the internal culture lacks purpose and a making-a-good-job mentality is almost impossible to implement new strategies. People with a clear sense and a compromise for doing their job want to know how to be better at it.

What do you think?
