S I hate it when people say: la cosa tan mala
(things are bad. Literally. Or more precisely meaning: times are rough)
Times are not rough. Though this might be how things look from your side of the table at this particular moment in time.
The map (_your perspective_) is not the territory.
Ever heard that saying before?
Well what it means is that your idea/belief or perception of what the map (map being your REPRESENTATION of the world) is does not and will not ever accurately represent the actual territory.
So… if you can’t possibly ever have an accurate handle on what any situation is (and it’s very important to acknowledge this. If you can’t. You can’t pass go 🤷🏽♂️)
How can you possibly represent to yourself or to anyone else that times are rough?
Your location, where you find yourself, plays a HUGE role in what we can see from our side of the table…
Our position (metaphorical as well as physical) will always gives us certain advantages by way of a closer look at certain things as well as disadvantages because of limitations on what we can see from our own vantage point.
My point being, you and I are blind to so many things in life. Please do not let your temporary position in life give you a permanent negative outlook on life.
And besides all of what I just said, I can almost guarantee you that for whatever you do for a living… there exists a handful of people that might be making —ten times— what you’re earning doing the same exact thing.
My life is a testimony of that last point.
Mindset is so important.
Please work on it. 💪🏽💪🏽
