Over the past 4 years, I have read 50 books on Day Trading.
And while I enjoyed many of those books, and learned a lot, there is only 1 book I can say truly had a life-changing impact on my trading.
I lost a lot and it sucked. But after reading this book I realized why.
'A Complete Day Trading System' by Thor Young.
Some of my biggest takeaways:
The market is driven by supercomputers & Market Makers.
Successful day trading systems specify Where, When, and How to take a trade.
For 'Where': Camarilla Pivots are specifically designed to predict price movements and they allow you to trade with the Market Makers.
For 'When': We need to know Market Auction Theory, Volume-Price-Analysis, Level 2, and Tape Reading.
For 'How': The Camarilla pivot system uses controlled risk management techniques that focus on fixed risk and profit taking.
(Of course, the book goes into detail on all of this. But these are my high-level takeaways.)
So, if you are at all interested in Day Trading, I highly suggest keeping a copy of A Complete Day Trading System on your desk.
