Don’t be afraid.
Don’t suffer for me.
Tell me everything about myself.
Tell me about my soul.
Unload my burdens.
Tell me when I am brave.
Tell me all of my dreams,
My purpose.
Never stop.
Show me all the things you know about my soul.
Show me the way home.
I was inspired to write a poem to my heart after reading The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. The Alchemist has inspired and changed the lives of millions of people all over the world, including some famous people like Will Smith.
It is about a young shepherd, Santiago, who is living in the hills of Andalucia. Santiago bravely sets out on a journey to find his hidden treasure somewhere in the Pyramids. The life-changing wisdom he acquires and the lessons he learns impel him to continue on the harrowing journey, braving obstacles along the way.
I was mostly inspired by the scene where the boy is encouraged to speak to his heart, an action which he makes habitual. He gradually becomes intuitive and able to listen to his heart. Through this, he overcomes his fears and grows courageous to follow his dreams.
Notes I took from this book:
What you seek is already within you.
When you want something, the whole universe joins forces with you to help you (some people call this beginner's luck). Everything was created by God, therefore everything is connected within the universe, including the world which is unseen.
We may not understand each other’s languages, hold the same values, or have the same faith, but we can all understand each other’s stories. We all have an embedded universal language.
All the people who are happy have God within them.
The way you see the world is the way the world will appear to you.
The only way you can learn or achieve something is by taking action.
Listen to your heart.
Follow your dreams.
This book, in my opinion, has altered the way I set goals and boldly carry them out. I'm motivated and inspired to pursue my goals, develop further, and spread my wings.
I hope you’ll be inspired by the book as much as l was.
