Finishing a PhD is hard.
So hard up to 20% of candidates never actually hand in their thesis. You are probably reading because you do want to finish, ideally without wearing yourself out in the process. And the good news are, it doesn’t have to be (that) hard.
Here are three steps you can take to make the process easier for yourself:
Step 1: Stop calling yourself a student!
Yes, you are learning every but you’ll do that till the end of time. You’re goal is to submit so you should start seeing yourself as a finisher.
Step 2: Shift from scarcity to abundance!
Stop dwelling on what is still missing and celebrate yourself for all the things you‘ve got done already.
Step 3: Make a plan and beat procrastination!
Now that you know where you stand and where you wanna go, map out how you’ll get there as clearly as possible. Decide on milestones and when you want to meet them.
