How often have you heard that you need to learn how to say no more often?
I'm guessing probably around a gazillion times.
And how do you feel when you have to "protect" your boundaries?
To me, even the expression makes me feel closed up, tense, like I have to defend myself against whoever is asking something of me.
But here's the thing:
You can say no in a soft way.
You can protect your boundaries and still stay connected to the person who asked you to do something for them.
What if a request was just an invitation of a well-meaning friend?
An offer you are free to accept or decline?
And how you choose to respond is entirely about you and your goals.
Not about the other person.
You're not mean if you decline. You're not rejecting the other person.
You can choose what's right for you and say "no, thank you!"
How does saying "no" make you feel?
