1. Check your Amex, Visa, or Mastercard prepaid credit card balance online

2. Login to your Amazon account, and add that prepaid credit card as a "payment method" to your wallet as a "credit or debit card"

3. Buy yourself an Amazon egift card -OR- reload your existing Amazon gift card balance for the exact value of your prepaid credit card

4. Immediately checkout (and don't purchase anything else), using that prepaid credit card as your payment source

5. If you bought yourself a new Amazon egift card: click "Apply to Your Amazon Account" when you get the email notification

6. Delete your used-up prepaid card payment method from your Amazon wallet

The next time you make an Amazon purchase, be sure to check "use your gift card balance" in the payment area. (Any overflow will go on your normal credit card on file.)
