AI: A Rocket for the Mind 🚀
Ayush 🙏

Steve Jobs famously called the personal computer a bicycle for the mind. It was a huge leap in how the human mind could function and be productive.

AI is a lot like that, but there's a difference.

AI is not just a bicycle, its like a sports car on steroids that can fly and travel in space.

It's like a rocket 🚀

It will take us years to fully realize the impact of AI in our lives. But one thing is clear - just like not everyone can fly a rocket, not everyone will be able to use AI to it's full potential.

AI is a powerful tool but only if you know how to use it.

Almost everyone can ride a bicycle. But not everyone can fly a rocket.

You need special training and prep. And you need to be at the top of your game - be really good at what you do.

AI will widen the chasm between the expert and the novice.

Sure you can use ChatGPT to write some copy, but if you haven't written copy before, you won't know if what the AI spat out is any good or not.

And this is true across all industries and professions - design, coding, content etc.

AI has significantly reduced the barrier to entry in many of these jobs. So there will be a lot of noise at the bottom of the expertise pyramid.

You already see people who have never written a line of code, using AI to write micro apps and releasing them in the wild.

That's great, but that's the easy part.

What happens when there's a complicated memory issue, or a serious security issue - like a data leak? You can't prompt your way out of those situations.

That's when you need mastery - the expert at the top of the pyramid, who actually knows what she's doing.

You need the astronaut who can actually fly the rocket not the novice that can fiddle with a few buttons.

Question is - Are you the expert or the novice at what you do?
