It's not easy to be in a state of constant motivation.

Anytime you feel like giving up, revisit these 3 wise, self-help, Mark Manson quotes. This will remind you why you're doing what you're doing.

Quote # 1: "Take responsibility for your own actions and emotions, do not take responsibility for the actions or emotions of others. This is also known as Boundaries 101." - Mark Manson

In Mark Manson's Subtle Art of Not Giving an Fuck book, chapter 8 is titled, "The Importance of Saying No".
Under the subhead "Boundaries", Manson reveals that the love romanticized between Romeo & Juliet is not mentally healthy.
Manson's definition of a healthy relationship is, "people will take responsibility for their own values and problems and NOT take responsibility for their partner's values and problems."

Quote # 2: "Productivity is more the product of focus, than time." - Mark Manson

Being 20 minutes productive is far more efficient than spending 1 being "productive" by doing busy work. You can fool others and yourself that you're being productive, but your work results will reveal how much productive you really were.

Quote # 3: "Don’t lean on others to tell you what you should value. What’s meaningful to you is yours to decide." - Mark Manson

If you're an Asian Indian like me, I had to figure it out myself that becoming a pharmacist is not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life.

I first found out that I would hate being a pharmacist when I volunteered at a local hospital during my sophomore year of college. I noticed physicians and pharmacists arguing about how to best treat the patient. It had become more of a power dynamic - who is right - rather than prioritizing patient care. I knew I couldn't survive in a political dynamic workplace. Plus the healthcare system in the United States is still behind in a lot of other aspects compared to other first world countries. Medicines are still expensive for cancer and diabetes patients. In my opinion, every U.S. citizen should have the right to vote, breath air, and access to free medication.

Poverty should not be a reason that you die in the "Land of Opportunity". I'd expect that kind of death and suffering in a 3rd world country that has no electricity and no proper sanitation system.
