Grieving. Healing. Moving on.

The last seven months with you will forever be etched in my mind. My heart melted when you stood up and said that we would do this.

Since then, I've longed to see you each day. Wherever you went, I longed to follow. I listened to every word you uttered with every ounce of my strength.

Sure, there were a lot of bumps along the way, but we endured all of them. We kept each other strong.

The outlook was discouraging, but we held on. We fought on. We hoped.

Then the end came. I was devastated. I was sad. I was angry. I don't know where to start again.

I will hold on to the memories of what we had. I will honor those memories by doing what you've always wanted me to do: be good to myself, look after others, and be the good this country needs.

I have now accepted my fate and will move on as you wanted me to.
