Since 2018 I have a sick tradition around this time of year where I go looking for a book. "The Sports Book: Best Training Ever!" by Dietrich Buchenholz better known by his tag DB Hammer. It's my personal White Whale to get a pdf copy. Four years later, still no luck.
Turns out, I'm not alone in my hunt.
Someone found me on Reddit and messaged me thinking I had the book. I don't, but I tried to point him in the direction of other DB Hammer content. It wasn't all a wash though, I experienced in real time the 2 year test through his questions. This random stranger mentioned Z-Health, Square1, Be Activated, and the neurological side of sports.
It was like talking to the version of me after reading that first article Tony Holler wrote about Douglas Heel back in 2017. Instead, I'm someone's Tony Holler. They'd found an article I'd written and I guess worked through reddit, made an account and messaged me.
I thought I was writing to help fix running injuries, but if I help someone coach better or find better material through my writing, that's just as well!
