Living one day at a time is a motto that could help a lot of people because it sure helped me overcome a lot of rough days.
It's hard when you think about it without really analyzing it. Taking one day at a time truly means that anything, and I mean anything can happen, Tomorrow your day could be the worst day of your life or the best and you can't sit around waiting to see because that will take you away from what's happing at the moment you won't be able to focus. Everything will just be a mess. Enjoying your day taking a moment and thinking about what's happening at the moment helps you control the anxiety, having that mindset where what happens today is my problem but tomorrow is tomorrow's problem, not today helps in the littlest way where you won't notice but it will make a difference.
For example, so you can understand, imagine it’s the weekend and it's already Sunday and you don't have a steady plan where you know how you're getting to work but it's still Sunday morning. My thought process is to think about how so many things can change tomorrow. Something can happen at work, and they might call you to inform you that you actually don’t have to go and you would be stressing and ruining your day thinking about things that didn't even have to be thought about.
That’s why I love the way of living one day at a time it truly helps you with coping with anxiety on a daily basis.
