Helping out with systems architecture, software, scalability and databases. Software engineer at AWS. Learn and share, therefore I am.

2 weeks ago I started a 30 days writing challenge and yesterday I missed a day for first time. It was the 15th day. It felt incredibly bad.

I started it because I want to experiment with a few different topics out there, connect with relevant individuals, build an audience, even claim a niche and ultimately, learn through the whole process

So far I've been enjoying it, smoothly writing one little essay every day. Trying not to overthink it.

Yesterday I failed to organise myself properly and missed it.

Plan was to write it first thing in the morning, then postponed to afternoon, finally to night time, when kids in bed and all quiet. Too late. When I got back home it was already midnight.

It felt AWKWARDLY BAD!! How comes? This is just something I'm doing for fun! To experiment and learn!

Habits are sticky. Leverage the power of habits.

We've all experienced how hard it is to quit bad habits: smoking, binge watching, throwing excuses to skip our gym schedule, ...

The good news is that it is also very hard to quit good habits!!

Once the brain learns a habit it just does it in auto-pilot, effortless, frictionless, it just wants to do it!

Leverage the power of habits. Get yourself more healthy habits!
