Entertainment Industry's Resident Ghostwriter

I Wrote 300-Word Posts Everyday For The Last 30 Days. Here's What I learnt (And Why You Should Try It Too)
Carolene Méli

During January I participated in Ship 30 for 30, a month-long daily writing programme by Nicolas Cole and Dickie Bush.

Even though I was already writing quite a lot for myself and for my ghostwriting clients, my goal is to become a world-class writer therefore I need to be learning from THE BEST at all times.

Here are 3 things I learnt whilst writing daily for the last 30 days:

I Have A Lot More To Write About Than I Thought I Did

Because I was 'forced' to publish everyday, I couldn't just say 'oh screw it' and close my laptop if I couldn't think of what to write. When those days came up I explored new topics, looked back on old work and wrote in new styles.

Documenting My Own Journey Performed VERY Well

I wrote a few pieces about my journey going from 15 years in leadership roles to becoming a solopreneur. These were some of my best performing posts and they seemed to resonate with my audience, so I plan on writing A LOT more on the topic.

Potential Clients Are Closer Than You Think

I have just started working with a new ghostwriting client who got in touch after seeing one of my posts. This was a great reminder that even when you feel you're not getting a lot of traction, likes, comments, shares or responses, you only need one person to resonate with something you wrote about to find your next client.

Writing long-form posts daily is such a powerful way to successfully distill and articulate your expertise, build skills rapidly and document and share your own journey. Give it a go!
