POV: You're an entertainment exec running Cirque du Soleil's summer show IL•LU in Andorra this July/August and you want to promote the hell out of it. Here's what I'd do:

The European summer season is about to begin with live outdoor experiences popping up all over - from the Med, to the Alps and up the way up North.

Cirque du Soleil is returning to Andorra for the 11th time, bringing yet again another creation to this tiny country.

If I was an exec at Cirque working on this show, here are 5 ways I'd promote it here on LinkedIn:

1. Highlight Unique Format:

When you hear Cirque du Soleil, you probably think of big top shows and Vegas. But the shows in Andorra are completely different.

So I'd start by talking about this unique Andorra/Cirque du Soleil partnership.

2. Share Behind-The-Scenes Content:

There currently isn't much online about the show, so I'd give my audience a behind-the-scenes look at the

• creation process

• technical set up

• storyboards

• characters

• costumes

(as much as I was allowed to share publicly anyways).

3. Leverage Historical Context:

There have been 10 other shows that have gone to Andorra for the summer, but I bet you couldn't name one.

So I'd be writing posts on 'the history of Cirque du Soleil in Andorra', highlighting amazing performances over the last decade.

4. Showcase The Venue:

Cirque typically performs in a unique space in Andorra, so once set up begins, I'd be reaching out to those onsite asking for sneak-peak style photos of the process.

This style of content always kills it and is the easiest way to start building excitement amongst any audience.

5. Document Business Strategy:

And last but not least, I'd be sharing my own work - 'building in public' style.

This might include ticket sales strategies, building relationships with local partners, diving into merchandise production and hiring teams.

By documenting the journey of bringing IL•LU to life in Andorra, I wouldn't just be promoting a show - I'd be positioning myself as an industry thought leader who is tapped into both the artistic and business sides of entertainment.

If you are a live entertainment exec and you're working on a new show this summer, steal this blueprint and start posting!

This is EXACTLY how you'll build your personal brand on LinkedIn

(and BONUS, promote the show you're running).
