In 1992, a friend and I used a paper map to drive across country to our college internship.
Everyone used paper maps. There was no internet as we know it today. But over the years, I've gotten rid of the paper maps.
Today, when it comes to navigation, there is 1 app I can't live without:
Waze
And here's why:
Reason #1: It's simplicity. When I open the app, I type in an address or click on a previous stored address and go!
Reason #2: Easy to follow user interface. It orients with the direction of your vehicle to give you a true representation of which way you're driving. Also provides written directions.
Reason #3: Customize your drive with a fun choice of narrators to call out directions. I've been stuck on 70's DJ for quite some time. There are many languages to choose from, not just English.
Reason #4: Easy to plan your drive. You can search categories like food, shopping, medical care and more.
Reason #5: Alerts you to hazards, construction and police.
Reason #6: It's free!
Navigating in unfamiliar territory isn't always pleasant.
Waze helps minimize my stress and even adds a little fun. If you need to just get around your town, find some place quickly in a new town, or plan a long trip, I can't recommend using this app enough. Who says driving shouldn't be fun and stress free?
What apps do you use for navigation? Do you use integrated navigation in your vehicle?
