I spend a lot of my time thinking about what I want out of life.
But lately, one question I've been asking myself is this:
What does it mean to live an Extraordinary life after 50?
For a few things I'm pondering :
#1: What is my purpose in life - this is a question I have been wrestling with for years without coming to an answer.
#2: How can I continuously choose to walk my way and continue to drop societal expectations that I have grown up with
#3: How can I live a life full of energy and verve, to be curious and willing to try new things when
To wrestle with this question, a few things I am doing are:
Reading about flow (Steven Kotler's books)
Experimenting with minimalism (digital and physical)
Writing using Ship30 and my journal
Because what is a midlife crisis more than a lack of direction, drive and commitment to a new way of living that better meets your needs.
But I think it'll be a while before I come to any sort of solid conclusion.
(And if you have a clear answer to this question, I'd love to hear from you.)
