Being rich starts in the mind.
How?
Because your reality is like a mirror and it's reflecting your thoughts back to you. If you really stop to pay attention, you will be shocked at how accurate this mirror is.
Action item:
Go up to an actual mirror with a frown on your face.
Try to change the frown into a smile in the mirror.
You can't do it. You have to change YOUR frown into a smile and then the mirror reflects that back.
Do you see where this is going? In order to be filthy rich (or at least very comfortable, depending on your personal goals), you've got to change your mind about money first, and then the mirror of reality reflects that back to you.
This is why identity shifting is so important to become successful at anything. You have to BECOME the person you want to be internally, and that will be reflected back out externally.
Let's talk about some ways that rich people think. Really think about these and compare them with your own thoughts.
How rich people think
Rich people:
Are OK with delayed gratification
Don't give up when something doesn't work right away
Get comfortable in the discomfort and uncertainty
Don't trade time for money - they solve problems for people to get money
Focus on win-win situations
Have complete faith in themselves
Embrace failure
Focus on one goal at a time
Do you think this way? If not, that's where the mindset work comes in. You need to focus on thinking the way a rich person thinks.
Let's recap
To recap, poor people have a poor mindset and then they look at the outside world (the reflection in the mirror) and look for evidence that confirms their suspicions.
Rich people see poverty, but they ignore it and they look for evidence in the outside world of wealth and prosperity.
Life is a mirror reflecting back to you what your thoughts are. Change your thoughts first to change your outside world. Being filthy rich (and not just with money) starts in your mind.
