Wallowing in self-pity. Lying on the mat helplessly trying to work some knot out of my back so I could finally invert and cool things. This is where my best ideas come to me. When in doubt, wallow those muscles out. Bonus points if you cry.
Handfighting. This is my favorite because you're moving a lot, the injury risk is very low, and it's fun. It's like wrestling except you take out the scary parts where you could get taken down or twist your knee. It's like wrestling for cerebral grappler, and I am here for it.
Ecological things. I am not an ecological man. In fact, I am barely even regular logical most of the time. This is something we've been doing recently, and I think there's a lot of value in it. Playing task-based games to help you warm your body up for regular training. Examples include base training or connection.
Flow-rolling. Flow-rolling with people who don't want to go crazy is the best warm-up method. Flow rolling with people who are going crazy is the best warm-up method to get injured. When I say "You wanna go... but light?" I will actually go light not because I care about you, but because I want to protect myself.
Getting beat up. This is my least favorite warm-up method, but it works. If you have a partner who lied about flow rolling or maybe you're just a masochist, let the person work. Just let tap you out a bunch. Let yourself get put in bad positions. I promise, your body will loosen up. You will also get harder to tap in the process.
