Wellness brands love a good promise, until someone asks for proof.

That’s not marketing.

That’s a horoscope in activewear.

Welcome to the Cross-Exam

Before your copy leaves the dock, run every line through this 3-part interrogation:

1. Prove it.
Can you show the result? Or are you just humming with confidence?

2. Why now?
If it’s not urgent, it’s invisible.

3. Who cares?
Does it help them or just make you sound enlightened on LinkedIn?

Exhibit A: The Fluff Gets Grilled

Judge: “State your claim.”
Copy: “Our program helps reduce stress.”
Prosecutor: “How?”
Copy: “Wellness. Mindfulness. Synergy.”
Prosecutor: “Objection. That’s just a vibe in sentence form.”

Judge: “Sustained. Guilty of fluff.”

Now retry that line, like someone’s actually reading:

“In a 7-day test, 82% lowered their resting heart rate with just 3 minutes of guided breathwork.”

Prosecutor: “No further questions.”

Judge: “Case for attention: won.”

✅ “Try this: 5 minutes of cat-cow before bed. One student emailed: ‘For the first time in months, I didn’t wake up stiff.’”

That’s not marketing speak.

That’s evidence, baby.

Your Copy Is Always on Trial

You don’t get to be vague anymore.

Because your reader?

They’ve been burned.

By bad products.

By big claims.

By overpriced peace sold in biodegradable packaging.

They’re not here for your intentional transformation.

They’re here for a damn result.

So cross-examine every line.

If it wouldn’t hold up in court?

Delete it. Tighten it. Prove it.

Then and only then...you might just walk out with a conviction that sells.
