I write about micro-mindfulness to help mid-career tech professionals reclaim clarity and calm so they can show up with presence and peace.

An Evening Meditation When You are Too Distracted for Mindfulness in Your Day and Need Focus for Tomorrow

Have you ever been so overwhelmed or distracted at work that you have difficulty being aware of what matters most throughout your day?

An Evening Meditation for Tomorrow's Mindfulness and Focus

Take a moment to pause, breathe deeply, and spend about ten minutes or less reflecting on the following.

  • Today, this moment: this is all we have.

  • Receive the gift of this one, wild and precious life.

  • This day is all we have; savor every morsel and minute.

  • Embrace this moment and love all whom you encounter.

  • Be self-giving, generous, kind, gentle; peace-giving, life-giving, empathic, understanding; experiencing all with universal, welcoming, belonging, unconditional - love.

  • Treasure this moment; the present moment is all we have, all we can receive at any given juncture.

  • Cherish this time with gratitude for being alive.

  • Be surprised by the wonder of life, the charged energy of creation in your midst.

  • Love the day and all that is in it.

  • Let the day surprise you with affirmation, wonder, and joy in the holy, ordinary day-to-day rituals.

  • Be mindful of who and what needs your attention, beckons your care, craves your compassion, and understands your forgiveness.

  • This day is all we have.

  • No other day matters at this moment in time.

  • Let the day unfold, and then rest in gratitude. Amen.
