The Simplest Way To Overcome Dragging Yourself To Work Every Day
Diane Carr

Everyone struggles with dragging themselves out of bed and rushing around to get to work in the morning.

Personally, I have for years. Every night I told myself I wouldn’t hit snooze in the morning multiple times, I’d have plenty of time and arrive at work refreshed and energized. It just never happened.

But what changed for me was realizing I was in a rut and couldn’t stand the thought that all my working mornings would be this way. I alone had to decide how I wanted every morning for the rest of my life to feel..

And as soon as that clicked, I started to understand that overcoming dragging through mornings wasn't that hard—I was just doing the wrong thing.

Here's what I should have done instead:

Figure Out How Successful People Started Their Mornings

Once I started learning morning routines of people I admired, I noticed how they set themselves up for success.

I modeled elements that worked for me and created a Sacred Morning Hour that nourished my mind, my body and my soul. Stretching (movement and getting oxygen flowing to my brain), prayer, journaling, reading, and a healthy smoothie.

Now, I can’t wait to start my day!
