I love finding the good in youth sports.

Coaching a soccer team of 12 and 13 year old boys helps me find it often.

However, I appreciate when my sons or daughter are given a great experience with a coach who is not me or my wife (she coaches the 9 and 10 year old girls).

We've been fortunate to have some unbelievable people in our children's lives as coaches.

Last night was the end of year basketball party for my 12 year old.

Coach Jeff and Coach Ben came up with great awards for the kids (see picture).

Every award carried a professional player's name.

Kurt Rambis, Tyrone Lu, Kobe Bryant, Robert Tractor Traylor, and Allen Iverson to name a few.

We didn't win a championship, but it didn't matter, the kids loved the experience.

I think it's safe to assume my son Dominic is the first recipient of the The Allen Iverson Crossover and Comedy Award.
