Did you know the grip strength of our hands and feet predicts AND improves our thinking power?
Three days ago, while doing my healthy aging power training with coach Kirk Bemis, I carried a heavy set of barbells. Walking somewhat gracefully back and forth across the floor, my hands gripped the handles very tightly. As a distraction, I engaged my ears in learning more about the science connecting grip strength and cognitive function.
Based on what I learned, here are three things I will change in my life.
Start doing grip strength more in my daily life. A tennis ball and towel are now parked beside my desk.
Include hand grip as a VITAL SIGN biomarker in my regenerative medicine practice
Remember my FEET and improving my foot and toe strength
What are you doing NOW to keep your mind and body strong?
With respect and gratitude
