What is the Lab Rotation Model?

The lab rotation model is a teaching method that is made up of two parts.

The first part is face-to-face learning with direct instruction from a teacher. The second part is learning online. Here, it is not necessary to have a subject teacher, but adult supervision and support are needed.

The lab rotation model combines both face-to-face direct instruction with online learning with both parts complementing each other.

For example in Math, students are exposed to new concepts through direct instruction from a teacher. In the lab, students have the opportunity to practice at their own pace and get immediate feedback on their progress. In the lab, students can either move ahead to the next concept or take the time to practice more if they need.
