5 Ways I Use ChatGPT to Help With My ADHD (That You Can Totally Steal)
Elizabeth Lord

I finally signed up for a paid ChatGPT account and I'm never giving it up.

I was skeptical in the beginning. I wasn't quite sure what it could do for me. I never imagined I'd use it to help with ADHD!

Here are the ways that I use it:

Meal Planning

I HATE meal planning. I get bored of the things I typically cook. After a long day I don't want to use any of my precious brain power to figure it out either. One quick chat about what I need and what I want to use up, and suddenly I've got a list of ideas. Ideas I'd never come up with on my own.

Brainstorm Buddy

I am highly creative, but sometimes I need to see examples before my brain gets going. I use ChatGPT to start some brainstorming and then we go back and forth building on my ideas.

Information Gatherer

When I need an answer, I don't want to dig through a bunch of pages of Google (like we had to do back in the day!) I just want the answer. It saves time and can point you to sources if you want to verify anything.

Deep Dive Partner

One thing that gets me in hyperfocus mode is deep diving into a rabbit hole. I can go for hours just asking questions, learning, and finding new resources. I find such enjoyment in this process!

Decision Paralysis Ender

Sometimes I get stuck. Should I say this or that when responding to an email? What's the best method to do a certain thing? ChatGPT is there to wade through the mess and reflect back what you've been saying. Sometimes it's just what I need to get out of my head.

I'm a big believer in finding supports that work for my brain. Farming something out to a more capable... tool (which feels like an insult, honestly) is the way to go!
