Here's powerful truth (that's totally counter-intuitive)...

The key to achieving big things is to give yourself extremely small goals that are childishly simple to accomplish.

Most people have trouble doing this, especially perfectionists.

And yet, we know that small goals (managed correctly) are the key to massive success. This is the core premise of the best-selling book "Atomic Habits."

Is it laziness to set small goals? No, but it's something on the other end of the spectrum from ambitiousness.

Ambitious goals are good in theory but not in practice. Most normal people don't do well pursuing ambitious goals.

So set yourself up for success from the start.

Set small goals, and then keep inching towards your big goal.

You'll achieve more by leveraging the power of consistency than the power of intensity.

Intensity is hard to maintain. Consistency is not — if you can learn to be disciplined.

The author of @farnamstreet agrees...

"One of the most practical life skills ... is turning discipline into consistency."

So, here's the plan from now on.

Learn to be more consistent in doing things that matter most.

You don't have to be intense in doing this.

You need to be consistent.

Start small, build steadily, and keep going.

That's the easiest (and most reliable) path to massive success.😉
