I used to see things for what they are;

I have since realized this is a hoax told to generations. Prosperous people discovered the secret. The enlightenment about the same has challenged and changed my mindset, hence my conclusion below;

You need to work very hard;

No, you need to work smart. There is no need putting in strenuous hours doing tasks. It is rather useful, to get multiple task done effectively & efficiently while managing quality, of the work and time.

Competition is healthy;

Once in a while, check out what your aspired growth looks like, from those above you just to benchmark. Otherwise, only compete with yourself, your vision, mission and your goals. That is confidence that will take you where your competitors are not.

Keep your enemies closer;

Enemies should be kept at a safe distance, to keep you on your toes and stay ahead of their moves against you. You need to protect your energy, and keep off their toxicity. It pays to keep friends closer. That support system that wishes you all good.
