If you're just starting out as an interior designer, you know how difficult task management can be. I thought I didn't need a project management system when I was working solo, but I didn't realize how many steps I was missing. So now, I've currently been using Asana to keep track of all my projects and to stay organized as I build my team. Here's how I learned how to set it up:

  1. Use Teams as a stand in for your business Departments. Have one team for Clients, another for Marketing, and another for your CEO tasks. This helps keeps privacy settings easy when you go to share folders with your team.

  2. In your Clients Team, create a Project Template by mapping out each task in your service from client onboarding to offboarding. Then you can just copy this project and rename with your client's name, and then follow the process you set up.

  3. Also in your Clients Team, create a Project that will act as your Client Dashboard to keep a birds eye view of all your projects. If you use board view, you can create a task for each client, and then move them from board to board as you complete each phase of the project.

The more processes you can set up, the easier it will be to manage your projects and your team's tasks.
