The most successful person is not the one who doesn't fail.
It's the one who evolves. The one who can catch the turnaround and spiral up from all the challenges encountered. You'll walk away from this essay with a roadmap for developing that skill.
We're going to face tough challenges.
They are going to help us grow and live our greatest life. Think of them as opportunities that life is giving you to practice your philosophy. Shift from Victim to Creator.
Use the little opportunities to practice for the big ones.
"A wind extinguishes a candle, but fuels a fire"
Imagine 3 boxes with 3 different tags:
Fragile: "Handle me with care."
Resilient: "Kick me around and I will last quite a bit."
Antifragile: "The more you kick me around, the stronger I get".
The obstacle becomes the way.
They go together because they fuel each other.
Confidence is about having an intense trust in ourselves to handle everything that life throws at us. Trust is earned (with others and with yourself). Prove to yourself that you're the type of person that does what needs to get done whether you feel like it or not.
Courage is the willingness to act in the presence of fear. Pair this with confidence and you'll act with excellence, no matter what obstacle you are facing. You'll be unstoppable.
We need to cultivate the awareness to step between stimulus and response and choose the most optimal response.
This is how we go from "This shouldn't be happening" to "Thank you life for giving me the opportunity to practice my philosophy, now what needs to get done?".
