In this article, I am addressing a recent speech delivered by the leader of the Communist Party of Kenya, Booker Omole Ngesa. I am pointing out some of the shortcomings of communism, illustrating with historical instances of its failed execution in African nations such as Tanzania and Ethiopia. I am disputing the belief that genuine communism has not been put into practice, referencing the atrocities carried out by leaders like Stalin and Mao in the guise of communism. Additionally, I am underscoring the benefits of capitalism, showcasing African countries like Botswana, Rwanda, and Mauritius that have adopted capitalism and experienced significant economic advancement.
