Welcome to my Social Blog. I show professionals how to find the perfect job and create their ideal career, using entrepreneurship and Artificial Intelligence.
There is little reason for lawyers considering a career transition to spend time on job search sites.
Once you have done all the preparatory work on your career transition process, I recommend your job search includes no more than 10% of your job search time.
You must first identify your core purpose and passions, assess your strongest skills, and envision your ideal career and life.
Then, job search sites may help you discover the skills and qualifications employers look for in jobs you are considering.
The sites may also help you uncover terms companies use in describing your ideal job so you can include them in your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile.
In addition, job search sites may help you identify organizations in a hiring mode.
Beyond that, waste little of your precious time on job search sites.
I know the first thing most lawyers do when considering an alternative career is to look at job search sites, which is reality.
However, a much more effective and efficient use of your job search time is to build relationships, make direct contacts, and promote yourself by creating content.
